Summary:
Best Version Media (BVM) is looking for a Communications and Reputation Manager to lead public relations, brand reputation, and strategic communications. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of BVM’s public image and the chief architect of our proactive storytelling. From optimizing branded search and cultivating earned media to managing crisis protocols and shaping executive communications, your work will directly impact how prospective Publishers, advertisers, employees, and communities view our brand.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute proactive earned-media plans targeting key recruiter, advertiser, and community audiences while overseeing media lists, press releases, interview prep, and PR agencies.
- Own BVM’s presence across review platforms (BBB, Glassdoor, Google), managing response strategies and actively resolving escalated brand issues.
- Partner with Marketing Operations and external agencies to audit, improve, and control what prospective Publishers and clients see when searching BVM.
- Curate and manage a selective company awards schedule prioritized by strategic business value and sales/recruiting credibility.
- Draft clear, consistent messaging for executive leadership to guide the company through major announcements, strategic shifts, and change management.
- Maintain BVM's public news and leadership web content while managing all communications software credentials, vendor inventory, and partner contracts.
Skills and Requirements:
- 5 years in communications or public relations with direct ownership of earned media and reputation management.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and message-development capabilities paired with strong executive judgment.
- Practical SEO fluency to lead branded-search initiatives, alongside experience managing external agencies, contracts, and tools.
- Proven ability to navigate sensitive issues using clear escalation protocols and organize complex inherited portfolios.
What will make you stand out:
- Prior experience supporting recruitment marketing, candidate pipelines, or distributed sales networks.
- Direct experience in local media, magazine publishing, franchising, or multi-location business models.
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics and specialized online reputation management platforms.
- Familiarity with press release distribution networks, monday.com project management, and Adobe Creative tools.
