Delivery Associate/Material Handler

Job Summary:

• Best Supply is one of the most trusted wholesale distributors of commercial interior building materials across the Midwest and Southeast United States.
• Delivery Associates at Best Supply assist in the safe and accurate delivery of materials from the warehouse to each job site location. They unload orders according to customer specifications with the help of various delivery equipment, including truck-mounted forklifts.
• This position is eligible for a delivery/performance bonus paid out each pay period (bi-weekly).

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Assisting with loading products onto rooftops
• Assisting in maneuvering delivery vehicles
• Delivering product in non-CDL required vehicles
• Providing superior customer service
• Double checking all loads for accuracy and ensuring that they are thoroughly secured for delivery
• Providing warehouse support as needed
• Assisting with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites and delivery functions including unloading and staging of product at jobsites as assigned
• Performing all duties safely

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or GED
• Skills in keyboarding, basic math, basic level word processing (MS Word) and standard level spreadsheet applications (MS Excel)
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in the performance of regular work.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 75-100 lbs consistently
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders throughout complete shift
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops
• Positive attitude and team player
• Adhering to all safety policies, including wearing safety harness and other required equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
