Manufacturing Operations Manager

Role Overview
The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations, coordinating production with customer orders, managing shipping and logistics, and serving as the primary operational point of contact for customers. This role works closely with Omar, who is on the manufacturing floor daily and supports hands-on production execution. While Omar focuses on floor readiness and execution, this role owns coordination, communication, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Production Coordination & Oversight
• Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders and priorities.
• Work directly with Omar to ensure materials, molds, and staffing are prepared.
• Monitor production output and identify bottlenecks or risks early.
• Step in as needed to support floor operations.
Team Leadership & Accountability
• Provide leadership and direction to manufacturing staff in coordination with Omar.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.
• Reinforce productivity, quality, and attendance expectations.
• Act as escalation point for workflow or staffing issues.
Customer & Order Coordination
• Serve as the primary operational contact for customers regarding order status, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with sales and ownership on special orders and production constraints.
• Proactively communicate delays or changes.
Shipping, Packaging & Logistics
• Oversee order packaging, staging, and loading for delivery.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and confirm readiness.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of outbound orders.
Quality Control
• Ensure finished stone meets company quality standards.
• Spot-check product for color consistency, texture, and integrity.
• Identify recurring quality issues and work with Omar to resolve them.
Inventory & Materials Awareness
• Monitor raw materials, molds, pallets, and supplies.
• Communicate material needs to ownership to avoid downtime.
• Maintain organized warehouse layout.
Safety & Facility Oversight
• Enforce safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Respond to workplace incidents per company protocol.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe facility.
Reporting & Communication
• Provide regular updates to ownership on production, staffing, and deliveries.
• Assist with weekly production reporting.
• Ensure strong communication between manufacturing, shipping, and management.
Required Experience & Skills
• Manufacturing, operations, or production management experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Customer-facing professionalism.
• Ability to lead teams without micromanaging.
• Comfortable in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with concrete, masonry, stone, or construction materials.
• Warehouse and logistics experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Physical & Work Environment
• On-site warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to walk the production floor daily.
• Occasional lifting and physical activity.
