The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth office operations and maintaining patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using medical scheduling systems.
- Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance claims processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with billing inquiries and provide necessary documentation for insurance claims.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Manage office supplies and maintain an organized reception area.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and eClinicalWorks or similar health information management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in office management tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
