Key Roles and Responsibilities
Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation
Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports
Post and maintain general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger adjustments
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, loan accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Play a vital part in the company's financial management, which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to the necessary parties
Record and review bookkeeping data entry; perform problem-solving and research activities
Perform a higher-level review of the financial statements for accuracy & locating inconsistencies
Research various accounting topics and communicate findings to clients/accounting manager
Assist clients and other staff with documents, questions, and issues
Qualifications For An Accounting Manager
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Eight (8) years or more of previous general ledger accounting and financial reporting experience is required, preferably in the e-commerce or professional services industry
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Excel (Power Query, Pivot Table, V-Lookup, X-Lookup, Charts, Functions & Formulas)
Required knowledge of cloud accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage, NetSuite, SAP, or other ERP system), Tallie, and other applications related to finance and accounting
Thorough understanding of financial application security, ensuring that all financial data is secure and complies with confidentiality policies
Must be very detail-oriented, possess excellent follow-through, and be able to multitask
Must be self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Excellent time management skills
Must be an outstanding communicator and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment
Demonstrated ability to support all other departments within the company and coordinate training and information sessions
Excellent proficiency in English communication—read, write, and speak fluently in English.
