Job Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Water Restoration Technician to join our emergency response team. You will be responsible for responding to residential and commercial water damage emergencies, performing professional-grade mitigation, and helping our customers return their properties to pre-loss condition. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina, technical skill, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to water, mold, and fire damage emergency calls.
- Water Mitigation: Perform water extraction, structural drying, and dehumidification using specialized industrial equipment.
- Demolition & Prep: Remove damaged materials such as flooring, drywall, and cabinetry as needed for the restoration process.
- Equipment Management: Set up, monitor, and maintain drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters).
- Documentation: Accurately document job progress with photos, moisture readings, and detailed logs for insurance purposes (e.g., using software like Xactimate or Encircle).
- Customer Service: Communicate clearly and empathetically with homeowners and property managers to explain the restoration process.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certifications: IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification is highly preferred (or a willingness to obtain it).
- Experience: Previous experience in restoration, construction, or demolition is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces like attics or crawlspaces.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
- Availability: Flexible schedule required, including participation in an on-call emergency rotation (nights and weekends).
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
