Overnight Supervisor – Dog Daycare & Boarding
Preferred: Dog handling experience, overnight work experience, and/or management experience
Job Summary
The Overnight Supervisor oversees all overnight operations of our dog daycare and boarding facility, ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of all dogs in our care. This role supervises staff, manages nightly tasks, and ensures company procedures are followed while working under the Resort Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise overnight care for daycare, boarding, bathing, and enrichment programs
- Lead and support staff; provide coaching, feedback, and training
- Assign staff and coordinate nightly operations to ensure safe, efficient care
- Monitor dog health, behavior, feeding, and medication administration
- Maintain accurate reports (health, behavior, feeding, shift reports)
- Communicate updates and concerns with management and incoming shift leaders
- Ensure proper dog group assignments and safe handler-to-dog ratios
- Oversee facility cleanliness, safety, and inventory needs
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate veterinary care when needed
- Maintain positive relationships with team members and pet parents
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months professional dog care experience preferred
- 1–2 years customer service experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Schedule & Availability
- Part-time overnight position
- Must be available weekends and holidays
- Flexible schedule required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (indoors/outdoors)
- Lift 50–60 lbs regularly
- Work in varying weather conditions and a loud environment
- Perform cleaning and facility maintenance tasks
