Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join the Best Enterprises' manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling stainless steel components. Your expertise will help ensure the production of high-quality products, adhering to safety standards and industry best practices.
Duties
- Read and interpret work orders, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Perform welding using MIG (Metal Inert Gas).
- Fabricate metal components using sheet metal fabrication techniques, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and other shop tools.
- Measure materials precisely with measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure accurate cuts and assemblies.
- Operate rigging equipment, power tools, and machining equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assemble fabricated parts into finished products.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and workplace organization standards.
Requirements
- Metal fabrication background with hands-on welding skills.
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read work orders, technical drawings, and interpret accurately.
- Experience with measuring instruments such as tape measures, micrometers, and shop math for fabrication.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and fabrication procedures; adherence to OSHA standards is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in sheet metal fabrication and metal materials handling.
- Ability to operate fabrication shop equipment including plasma cutters, press brakes, machining tools, forklifts, and hand tools efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
