Position Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the liaison between Teknicote and our customers — managing order entry, coordinating shipments, handling inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction from start to finish. This position plays a key role in maintaining our commitment to quality and on-time delivery.

Key Details

  • Shift: 5:30 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Training Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Location: On-site in the Shipping & Receiving area
  • Work Environment: This position is located near a bay door; the work area may be subject to temperature extremes (hot or cold) depending on the season.
  • A strong sense of urgency and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Enter customer orders into the system accurately and efficiently
  • Greet customers and handle inquiries in a professional manner
  • Track and communicate order status and delivery updates
  • Generate shipping documents for UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipments
  • Maintain filing systems and assist with year-end document purges
  • Communicate customer requests, rush orders, and changes to the production team
  • Record and document customer complaints via phone and email
  • Receive incoming materials using company software
  • Assist with month-end inventory reports
  • Support compliance with ISO 9001 requirements (document control)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Customer Service role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with E2 ERP or other ERP systems preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and customer-focused demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team to improve processes, quality, and safety
