While our office is located in Plano, TX, we are specifically looking for candidates based in Arizona for easier mobilization.
The Role:

You aren't just swapping parts; you are ensuring the reliability of the nation's energy storage systems (BESS). We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician III (FST3) to serve as an onsite lead responsible for executing and coordinating complex maintenance and repair activities for BESS, inverters, and power systems. This role bridges the gap between technicians and engineers and plays a key leadership role onsite. This is a W-2 position with variable hours.
Responsibilities
Site Support & Execution:
- Support installation, commissioning assistance, and onsite inspections for BESS, inverters, and power equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnostics, transitioning from guided support to independent problem-solving.
- Execute rework tasks such as harness replacement, board swaps, and cooling system maintenance according to SOPs.
- Accurately collect site data, photos, and maintain daily activity logs.
Safety & Compliance:
- Strictly follow company and client safety requirements, including PPE, LOTO, and electrical safety protocols.
- Participate in daily job briefings and hazard assessments.
- Immediately report any safety risks or abnormal conditions.
Team Coordination:
- Collaborate effectively with the onsite team and maintain professional communication with supervisors and site personnel.
- Prepare basic documentation, including daily reports and checklists.
- Promptly communicate technical issues, progress, and delays to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, solar, BESS, construction, or related fieldwork.
- Ability to travel extensively (70%-100%) nationwide.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
- Basic electrical or mechanical aptitude with the ability to read SOPs, checklists, and basic diagrams.
- Proficiency with common tools and safe operation practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or relevant electrical certifications.
- Experience on utility-scale sites (solar, BESS, heavy electrical).
- Basic electrical measurement experience (voltage/current testing).
- Experience operating forklifts or skid steers.
- Veterans and those with trade-skill backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
