- Job Description: Glass and glazing company in Dania Beach, FL are looking for an assistant project manager/estimator with strong communication and leadership skills. Candidate should be familiar with the aluminum & glass fabrication and installation of frameless entrances, storefront, curtain wall and all aspects of glass and glazing systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare estimates by reviewing ITB's, material & quantity takeoffs, calculate labor and equipment costs, and submit proposal to the client
- Communicate effectively with vendors, general contractors and customers
- Maintain detailed and organized records of projects; keep accurate field notes
- Attend subcontractor meetings as needed
- Maintain weekly progress status reports
- Review and approve subcontractor & vendor invoices
- Submit daily and weekly labor reports
- Prepare and track: shop drawings, general submittals, project schedules (fabrication, material delivery to jobsite, installation of product, etc.), material purchase orders, pay applications, close-out documents, etc...
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong communication and leadership skill
- Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat, GDS and Blue Beam
- Experience working with AutoCAD
- Valid driver’s license
- The understanding of how an estimate is prepared, and labor & material is calculated.
