Job Summary:

Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, New York is seeking a full time Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a certified sterile processing technician, you will be responsible for maintaining sterile and non-sterile supplies for all departments within our hospital facilities, including the operating room. You will decontaminate, clean, inspect, prepare, disinfect, and sterilize linens, utensils, trays, endoscopes, and/or instruments, among other tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains sterile and non-sterile supplies for all departments within Bertrand Chaffee Hospital facilities, including the operating room
• Decontaminates, cleans, inspects, prepares, disinfects, and sterilizes linens, utensils, trays, endoscopes, and/or instruments
• Operates sterilizers, washer, decontaminator, aerators, heat sealers, carts, ultrasonic cleaner, warming cabinet, and biological incubator
• Maintains sterile linen packs; gathers used utensils and instruments; clerical and recording keeping work as needed

Requirements:

• Six (6) months' experience in a clinical setting as a para-professional or technician
• High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must obtain Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
