Dental Lab Technician- Refractory Model Department opportunity available!

As a RPD (Removable Partial Denture) Dental Lab Technician at Bertram Dental Lab, you will be working in the advancing field of dental technology. You will work within a Refractory Model Department of Dental Lab Technicians that understand their final product helps and affects people’s day to day life. Our varying positions work together in various departments to help repair, design, create, and maintain the most consistent partial frameworks (Removable Partial Dentures) available.
Department Duties:
- Apply porcelain paste over prosthesis frameworks or setups, using brushes and spatulas.
- Build and shape teeth setups, using small hand instruments and information from observations or dentists' specifications.
- Create a model of patient's mouth by pouring plaster into a dental impression and allowing plaster to set.
- Load newly constructed castings for frameworks into casting ovens. (Lost wax casting process)
- Melt metals or mix plaster or acrylic pastes and pour materials into molds or over frameworks to form partial dentures or apparatus.
- Place tooth models on apparatus that mimics bite and movement of patient's jaw to evaluate functionality of model. & MORE!
Department Details:
- 35-40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, no weekends.
- Starting Time: 10:30am CST - until the work is done (generally between 6:30pm/7:00pm CST).

Skills required:
- Must have an eye for detail and ability to follow direction.
- Must be willing to learn new skills.
- Previous hands on dental or jewelry experience a plus, but not required. We will train the right candidate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- There are a mix of day-to-day duties that are sitting down at a workstation and duties that require more standing and moving around, as well as lifting 15lbs throughout the shift.
- Positive attitude, punctual, and dependable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
