Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $49,600 to $55,000 annually. Full time, exempt, benefits eligible. Responsibilities: working a school-based calendar, the primary responsibility of the WRAP Therapist will be to provide prevention, education outreach and clinical activities to at-risk children attending Douglas County public schools and their families designed to enhance youth success in school.
Specific duties include but not limited to:
- Assigned to one or more schools for the provision of behavioral health services as part of the educational team at each school.
- A member of their school(s)'s mental health team and expected to be a regular attendee at meetings.
- providing high quality direct services, including crisis intervention, therapeutic interventions, assessment, support services, intakes, and follow up to at-risk children and adolescents and their families;
- screening, referral, and case management to help youth access relevant services;
- maintaining data and documentation to track outcome measures and compiling outcome measure reports;
- coordination and collaboration with other child serving systems including but not limited to juvenile justice systems;
- supervising practicum students;
- regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job; and
- assuming additional responsibilities as circumstances warrant.
Qualifications: the WRAP Therapist position requires but not limited to:
- a master's degree in counselling, psychology or social work and Kansas license in one of these disciplines; experience working with juveniles and families preferred;
- experience in clinical interventions with juveniles and families, including crisis intervention;
- experience in working with school personnel and in school settings;
- basic computer fluency;
- an ability to work independently and in cooperation with others;
- strong organizational skills;
- flexibility in assigned working hours;
- a commitment to interdisciplinary and community mental health center approaches; and
- an energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex work-place.
Salary : $49,600 - $55,000
