This is an independent contractor position and not an employee of BNC. Contractor is responsible for all applicable taxes, insurance, and licenses.
- Contractor shall be compensated $25 per hour for administrative work, not to exceed 4 hours per class
- Contractor shall be compensated $400 per training payable., not to exceed 4 classes a month
- Contractor shall submit invoices detailing services rendered.
No benefits, insurance, or tax withholdings will be provided by BNC.
This position is responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery, and management of all MHFA training conducted by or on behalf of BNC. Services include, but are not limited to:
Program Management & Implementation
- Manage the Mental Health First Aid training program to ensure alignment with BNC's mission and community needs
- Oversee curriculum, scheduling, and implementation of MHFA trainings for community members and BNC employees
- Assist and support other BNC MHFA trainers in maintaining accountability to training plans, schedules, and goals
Training & Certification Responsibilities
- Participate in a five-day MHFA Instructor Course (date and location TBD)
- Disseminate MHFA trainings within the community, including organizations such as schools, law enforcement agencies, and local businesses
- Track participant attendance, certifications, and completion
- Provide at a minimum one (1) training a month, either public or private.
Outreach, Marketing & Community Engagement
- Conduct outreach to recruit course participants and engage community partners
- Market MHFA trainings through public announcements, social media, informational sessions, and community events
- Establish and maintain relationships with community mental health agencies and other partners
Reporting & National Compliance
- Track and collect participant evaluations following each training
- Submit evaluations and required documentation to MHFA-USA as directed
- Enroll in and maintain participation in the MHFA-USA Listserv
- List all courses on the national public "Mental Health First Aid in Your Community" map
- Ensure compliance with MHFA-USA policies, procedures, and instructor requirements
Ongoing Support
- Serve as an ongoing resource to MHFA course participants following training completion
