Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dermato-Histopathology Technician to join our dynamic team at Berries Health and Genetics. Duties
- Process, and prepare tissue specimens for histological analysis using established laboratory techniques.
- Perform tissue embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting procedures with precision and adherence to protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of specimen processing steps, results, and laboratory data in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in the operation and calibration of laboratory equipment such as microtomes, cryostats, and staining.
- Ensure all laboratory procedures follow aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and preserve specimen integrity.
- Support research projects by preparing samples according to experimental requirements and assisting with data collection.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety guidelines related to handling biological specimens and chemicals.
Requirements
- Proven clinical laboratory experience with a focus on histology or pathology specimen preparation.
- Prior research laboratory experience is highly desirable, especially in genetics or physiology-related studies.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology relevant to tissue analysis.
- Experience with specimen processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting techniques.
- Ability to operate specialized laboratory equipment such as microtomes, cryostats, and staining systems accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong organizational skills for record keeping and data management.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
