What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Genetics Laboratory Technician position at BerriesBerries Health and Genetics Laboratory?
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- 3 years of experience working with real time PCR and open array (preferred).
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning of Quant Studio 12 Flex.
- Manage laboratory inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and observations
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, or related discipline)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
