GENERAL SUMMARY:
- Supports various County IP Video Systems, supports third-party applications, installs PC software and new systems; troubleshoots customers' problems; repairs and maintains computer equipment peripheral devices.
DUTIES:
- Provides technical support for IP audio/video systems and third-party applications, serving as the primary point of contact for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnoses and resolves issues related to IP audio/video equipment and supported technologies throughout the County.
- Collaborates with vendors, Information Systems personnel, and County staff to ensure system reliability and optimal performance.
- Installs and configures PC software, hardware, and new systems in accordance with County standards.
- Installs, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs PCs, network-connected devices, and other Information Systems-supported equipment.
- Responds to service requests and trouble tickets submitted through the County Help Desk system, documenting work performed and maintaining accurate service records.
- Performs preventive maintenance, orders replacement parts, and recommends the purchase of hardware and components to support system operations.
- Provides end-user guidance and training following the installation of PCs, network-connected devices, and other supported equipment.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Carries a cell phone and is available to respond to after-hours service calls on a call-in basis.
- Assists the Customer Service Manager by providing recommendations related to the planning, installation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of technology equipment and systems.
- Completes special projects and assignments as requested by Customer Service Manager and/or Director of Information Systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; OR
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and one year of full-time experience in information technology, database management, application management, or Audio/Video Systems support; OR
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years of full-time experience in information technology, database management, application management, or Audio/Video Systems support.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess and maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license with access to a reliable vehicle throughout the course of employment.
- A pre-employment physical, drug screening, background check, and fingerprinting are required.
- Employee may not have any felony convictions.
- Must possess the physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary to perform essential job functions, including lifting and carrying 20 or more pounds, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- May be required to respond to call-ins during off-duty hours.
- Employee will carry a cell phone and be available to respond to emergencies or service needs on a 24-hour basis.
- Occasional off-site travel may be required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Proficient in standard office software applications, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet programs.
- Basic understanding of network wiring.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
