Responsibilities and Duties
• Expert in all processes within the packaging and brewing lines.
• Maintain throughput at target levels by responding to production issues in a timely manner, leading initial trouble-shooting efforts, and escalating issues to the Supervisor as required
• Facilitate the training plan for new operators and ensure all packaging employees are adequately developed to execute their work assignments
• Participate in periodic performance reviews and provide feedback on packaging team members
• Ensure process documentation is filled out correctly and delivered to proper locations on time
• Ensure disposition reports are completed with accurate information as needed
• Verify correct flow of materials and minimize waste within the packaging process
• Coordinate major activities such as changeovers, clean-ups, set-ups, and shutdowns
• Organize break schedules and monitor break times for all packaging employees
• Change operator labor assignments and perform operator duties as needed to maintain production
• Communicate with Supervisors and other Area Leads to avoid interruptions in production between departments
• Practice effective verbal and radio communication
• Promote and ensure compliance of Berner GMP, EHS, Food Safety, and personal conduct standards by all team members as required in the packaging area
• Lead packaging employees during emergencies and drills to emergency exits and assembly points, and ensure full evacuation of the department when needed
• Lead all CILR activities to ensure compliance with published schedules
Pay range: 19.00-23.00/hour based on experience; Full benefits offered - medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
