Business (Leave replacement 9/1/26-1/31/27)

Summary
We are seeking a temporary Business educator to join the team at Ridge High School from September 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027. This position is designed to cover a leave of absence and will involve delivering high-quality instruction in business concepts while fostering a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to student success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum requirements.
• Teach various business-related subjects, including but not limited to finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, and business management.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, providing timely feedback.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and any concerns.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience and support student learning.
• Uphold school policies and procedures while promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.

Requirements

• Valid teaching certification in Business Education or the equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of business concepts and current industry practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
• Experience with technology and digital tools for education.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be available for the entire duration of the temporary position.
