Duration: 3 Months (with potential for extension and/or full time conversion)
Compensation: $22.00 to $24.50 per hour
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Solar Integration Technician to support our client's solar operations team in Chandler, AZ. This role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly, integration, testing, repair, and maintenance of solar site equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in commercial or industrial electrical environments and possess a solid understanding of AC and DC circuits.
Responsibilities:
- Recognize safety hazards and adhere to safety guidelines to protect yourself, co-workers, and the public.
- Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints, and control system drawings, applying this knowledge to daily tasks under the direction of the Lead Electrician.
- Complete written and electronic documentation (including work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, and material requests) to accurately record work performed.
- Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect, install, remove, and maintain solar site equipment, including solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA systems.
- Be available for after-hours and weekend shifts or callouts as needed.
- Perform assigned duties independently or as part of a team during all phases of assembly, integration, and testing.
- Make basic layouts on parts or assemblies to establish reference points and verify dimensions.
- Visualize CAD drawings and interpret symbols, flag notes, and general notes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two (2) years of experience in commercial or industrial solar electric maintenance, including the repair, inspection, testing, installation, and/or maintenance of electrical/electronic equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electricity, voltage, and current relationships in both AC and DC circuits.
- Knowledge of Solar PV systems is a plus.
- Ability to successfully complete required position training and testing.
- Capable of performing physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, standing, stooping, lifting, carrying, reaching, climbing, and working on ladders for extended periods, often with hands and arms raised to install or troubleshoot equipment.
- Proficient with various tools, including chop saws, grinders, drill presses, disk sanders, handheld power tools, and precision measuring tools.
- Willingness to travel and provide flexible ‘on-call’ support as needed.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing issued by state of residence.
Salary : $22 - $25
