Compensation: $90 to $120 per hour
Overview: Our client, a diversified financial services and investment management firm headquartered in New York City, is currently seeking an accomplished Chief of Staff to support their CEO and executive leadership team on a contract basis. With a legacy of over a century of leadership, our client oversees a global portfolio spanning energy, infrastructure, maritime, and financial assets. This is a highly visible and strategic role responsible for driving cross-company initiatives, ensuring operational alignment, and enhancing governance and performance across the organization’s portfolio businesses. The ideal candidate is a seasoned executive operator or strategic consultant with strong financial services experience who can quickly integrate into a complex organization, deliver structure and clarity, and act as a trusted advisor to leadership throughout the engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to define, prioritize, and track enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans and measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate quarterly and annual planning cycles across the company and its portfolio holdings.
- Provide executive-level support in managing and monitoring performance across portfolio companies.
- Lead preparation and delivery of materials for board meetings, investment reviews, and governance updates.
- Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies across business units.
- Serve as a thought partner and advisor to the CEO, helping manage information flow and strategic communications.
- Draft executive presentations, correspondence, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the CEO in select meetings and maintain alignment among leadership teams.
- Oversee the execution of special projects and high-priority initiatives on behalf of the CEO.
- Ensure progress tracking, accountability, and timely delivery of outcomes.
- Build bridges across departments and subsidiaries to enhance collaboration and execution discipline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 8 years of experience in management consulting, investment management, private equity, or corporate strategy.
- Proven track record in an executive support, operational leadership, or Chief of Staff capacity.
- Experience in a holding company or multi-entity structure preferred.
- Strong financial literacy and business acumen.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and influence at senior levels.
- Comfort operating in both strategic and tactical modes.
- High integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
Salary : $90 - $120
