Work/Project Site Location: Eugene, OR 97401 (Lane County Public Services Building)
Work Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (1st shift hours) NOTE: Additional night work and overtime may be required depending on project phases.
Compensation: $55.00 to $63.00 per hour
Overview:
A leading renewable energy construction services organization is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the renovation of an existing public sector Central Energy Plant in Eugene, OR. This is a fully onsite role managing the project from mobilization through closeout. This position is ideal for a hands-on construction leader with strong MEP experience who thrives in complex, technical environments and can drive safety, schedule, and budget performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through final closeout
- Enforce company's safety standards and ensure subcontractor compliance
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily logs, budgets, and compliance documentation in Procore
- Oversee subcontractors across all trades, ensuring QA/QC standards are met
- Manage critical path schedules in Microsoft Project and maintain weekly 3-week look-aheads
- Coordinate site logistics, inspections, permits, and third-party reviews
- Lead stakeholder meetings and provide clear, consistent project updates
- Monitor installation quality, identify deficiencies, and proactively resolve issues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or GED) required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management (preferred), or equivalent field experience
- 6 years of Construction Management/Superintendent experience
- Proven success managing multimillion-dollar construction budgets and meeting critical path milestones
- Experience with large MEP renovations or industrial/central plant projects
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification required (or willingness to renew)
- Strong working knowledge of P&ID integration, hazardous classifications, and complex industrial systems preferred
- Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Project
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate crews and manage subcontractors
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Effective communicator comfortable working with clients, architects, inspectors, and public stakeholders
- Proactive problem solver who can make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment
