Settlement Specialist – Personal Injury
Law Firm seeking Settlement Specialist experienced in personal injury.
SALARY: Starts at $55k
Position is in-person at our Boca Raton office.
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Settlement Specialist to manage Personal Injury cases from settlement through final disbursement. This position is critical to ensuring clients receive their settlement funds quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable working with medical bills, collections, negotiations, liens, and settlement documentation. We need someone who moves quickly, takes ownership of their files, follows up aggressively, and gets cases across the finish line.
Key Responsibilities
- Own settled PI files from settlement through final disbursement with urgency and accountability
- Drive files forward to ensure clients receive funds quickly
- Prepare and review settlement statements and closing documents
- Request, review, negotiate, and resolve medical bills and liens (including Medicare/Medicaid when applicable)
- Coordinate lien reductions and confirm final payoff amounts
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding settlement status and timelines
- Partner closely with attorneys and case managers to remove bottlenecks and close files
- Ensure compliance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records in Aderant Total Office/Filevine.
- Track deadlines, follow up relentlessly on outstanding items, and move cases to completion
Qualifications
- Personal Injury settlement experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage high-volume caseloads and close files efficiently
- Strong understanding of PI settlements, liens, and disbursement processes
- Highly motivated, results-driven mindset with a sense of urgency
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter who takes ownership and follows through
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
Bilingual: preferred, but not required
