About the Role:
We are seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team at our Providence, Rhode Island facility. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the supervision and administration of the total nursing service program. Your primary focus will be on assisting the administrator in implementing and attaining nursing department goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and administer the total nursing service program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Coordinate programs and services under the direction and consultation of the administrator and medical director
- Collaborate with staff to deliver high-quality nursing care and services to our residents
- Develop and manage staff to enhance the highest standards of nursing care
- Ensure effective communication with older adults, family members, and visitors
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in nursing service administration and supervision, preferably in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing
- Previous RN Supervisory experience required
- Knowledge of clinical practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to long-term care
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
