- DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- The Emergency Room Director is a registered healthcare professional responsible for providing 24-hour administrative leadership and direction for the Emergency Department. This role ensures safe, high-quality patient care while coordinating service development aligned with healthcare trends and hospital goals. The director partners closely with the Medical Director, oversees staff education and performance, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- Three years of clinical and leadership experience required.
- Five years of progressive experience in Emergency Nursing and/or Critical Care nursing.
- Education and Training:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required.
- Master’s Degree in nursing, other healthcare field, or business required or in progress.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- RN - Current RN Massachusetts License required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP required.
- Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates ability to manage change and effectively meet the needs of the healthcare environment.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple disciplines within the organization
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing or CEN eligible or certified in related field preferred.
- Viewed as a role model of for professionalism.
- Ability to interpret and administer policies in a fair and consistent manner.
- Demonstrates leadership ability and communicates a strong work ethic and commitment toward excellence in the healthcare service or profession.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; communicates effectively with patients, family members, physicians, management and staff.
- Be Well organized and able to handle a variety of complex assignments simultaneously.
- Demonstrated understanding of Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.
- Demonstrated dependability. Documented effectiveness in confronting problems and resolving conflict.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language.

Schedule: Full Time, Shift 1, 7:00am-3:30pm
Salary : $51
