Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager and Bookkeeper to oversee our office operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our administrative processes while managing accounting tasks. This position requires strong leadership skills, proficiency in accounting software, real estate transaction software, and a solid understanding of financial principles. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5PM with a lunch break.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations and ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll processing, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in tax preparation and filing processes, such as 940, 941, State Withholding, 1099s and W-2s.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Work with and train real estate agents.
- Implement office policies and procedures to enhance productivity.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or similar role in an accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Experience with payroll processing and accounts payable management.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare financial reports and conduct general ledger reconciliation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
