Race Crew 66 Thunder Mountain Rd, Charlemont, MA, USA 16.50 per hour
16.50Hourly/Seasonal Summit Season Pass, food & merchandise discounts,
friends and family vouchers Job Summary Provide on the snow support for
alpine race events at the resort. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install and remove fencing and safety netting as needed. Side-slip and
rake course to maintain a consistent surface for all racers. Secure race
areas and control authorized access to the racecourse. Maintain race
equipment, radios and other tools used by racing. Set, maintain, remove,
and repair racing gates. Apply dye or salt to the racing course as
needed. Inspect courses maintaining on-hill safety for athletes and
other skiers. Perform other tasks as assigned by race director. Minimum
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) Strong Technical Skier
background. Understanding of electronic timing systems. Ability to work
effectively and appropriately with and around children. Communicate
clearly using 2 way radios. SSA Membership not required but a plus.
Experience And Certification As An Alpine Official Preferred. Core
Competencies Communicate effectively and actively listen to co-workers
and management. Maintain high standards in the quality and consistency
of work. Interact with team members effectively and put team goals
first. Physical Demands Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds while
skiing. Must be able to ski, stand, bend, climb, lift, reach, push and
pull repetitively. Must be mentally attentive and focused at all times.
Must be able to adapt to climate and work in extreme weather conditions.
Requirements Shift Requirements: Frequent evening shifts for after
school practices and races. Frequent weekend and holiday shifts.
Availability for weekday afternoons/evening and weekends is a plus. Age
Requirements: Applicants must be at least age 18.
