Responsibilities
To produce and manage a book of public entity program business, achieving profitable growth. Meet and maintain the production, profitability and services standards established for the company.
- Manage assigned members including regular contact and visits.
- Act as an agent for assigned members, including placement of ancillary lines.
- Screen new and renewal submissions.
- Communicate on matters pertaining to new and renewal submissions and service items.
- Determine degree of risk, specifying applicable endorsements and applying pricing to ensure overall profitable risk selection.
- Prepare quote proposals for renewals and new business.
- Provide clear instruction and guidance to rating and processing personnel.
- Order & review inspections, motor vehicle reports, or other reports as needed for underwriting of risks.
- Maintain records and prepare required reports on activity as needed.
- Maintain and updating underwriting files.
- Participate in providing information regarding reinsurance procurement.
- Participate in Board of Trustees meetings.
May perform other functions as assigned.
- Five plus years’ experience in commercial lines underwriting.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial lines underwriting standards and practices along with working knowledge of rating.

- Strong member management abilities.
- Four-year college degree or related insurance work experience and training. Must hold Arizona Producer’s license.
