Reporting to the Controller, the accounting manager will provide essential financial support and transactional services within the flavor and fragrance industry. This role will collaborate closely with accounting personnel, internal departments, and external parties to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance. The accounting manager will be overseeing the general accounting function and working with the accounts receivable and accounts payable teams. Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:
- Review Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations including inter company transactions
- Balance Sheet account reconciliation
- Assist with month-end closing
- Assist with external auditors request
- Coordinate daily accounting operations and assist AP and AR managers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Procurement, HR, etc.) to address and resolve vendor/customer issues.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports and assist in preparing financial statements and reporting packages
- Identify control gaps and recommend improvements in approval workflows, segregation of duties, and reconciliation standards.
- Support the Controller with special projects, ad-hoc analyses, and process enhancements as needed.
- Utilizing reporting tools to produce and analyze financial data.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Proficiency with MS Excel and other Applications, Netsuite is a
- 5 years of work experience in a manufacturer, distributor or industry providing CPG on a B2B basis
Skills and/or Physical Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate using both written and verbal communication with diverse work groups, including customers and internal Berje employees
- Team oriented, yet able to work independently.
- Positive and professional manner, strong focus on detail, accuracy and accountability.
- High degree of organization, prioritization, problem solving and initiative. Capable of meeting deadlines and adapting to rapidly shifting priorities
