Berg Custom Builders is seeking an experienced carpenter to join our team. We are looking for a skilled, dependable professional who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well with others, and understands the importance of completing every project with care and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have experience in residential construction and remodeling and be comfortable working independently or as part of a crew. This position is well suited for someone who can move confidently through multiple phases of construction while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Perform framing, finish carpentry, remodeling, and general construction work
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and measurements
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, siding, flooring, and other building components
- Complete demolition, layout, framing, and finishing work as assigned
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
- Identify potential concerns and communicate them with the project lead
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Protect customers’ homes and property throughout the project
- Work collaboratively with coworkers, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining Berg Custom Builders’ standards for craftsmanship
- Follow company procedures and all applicable safety requirements
Qualifications
- At least three years of professional carpentry or residential construction experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and jobsite safety
- Experience with framing and finish carpentry
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials
- Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to manage responsibilities with limited supervision
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and carry construction materials and perform physical work in varying weather conditions
- Must provide basic personal hand tools appropriate for the position
