J-Berd Companies is experiencing exciting growth, and we're seeking a highly organized and driven Assistant Project Manager to play an important role in our continued success. This isn't just an administrative role; you'll be a vital partner to our Berd Electric Project Managers and Field Operations teams, directly impacting the smooth and efficient execution of our projects from inception to completion. We're looking for a proactive individual with proven experience in the industry, gained through relevant work experience or education, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of seamless coordination and communication in achieving project goals. Responsibilities:

Compile project documents for project managers and field operations; including proposals, plans, specifications, related correspondence, contracts, change orders, permits, shop drawings, close-out documents, etc.

  • Be a point person to streamline project communication between the three companies.
  • Equipment purchasing for projects.
  • Collaborate with Design and vendors to procure product substitutions.
  • Review product specifications to ensure design intent is met.
  • Prepare and track product submittals; Upload submittals to project platforms.
  • Analyze and revise submittals pertaining to review.
  • Review Addendums, ASI’s, changes, etc.
  • Review contracts for scope clarifications or discrepancies
  • Update and maintain spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office documents.
  • Maintain project correspondence with field staff and general contractors.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding project contracts and employee personal data as it pertains to the position.
  • Track construction schedules to ensure timely obtainment of permits and equipment.
  • Monitor project performance.
  • Establish cost estimates with subcontractor and vendor pricing as needed.
  • Attend project meetings as needed.
