Pay Rate: $85 – $90 per hour

Role Overview:

BEPC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with strong Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise to support the design, modeling, and integration of advanced aircraft systems. This hands-on role will focus on building and maintaining digital system models, enabling traceable system development, and supporting cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with CAMEO, SysML, system architecture, and requirements traceability in aerospace or other highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain SysML-based system models in CAMEO to represent architecture, behavior, interfaces, and requirements across the aircraft system lifecycle
• Decompose high-level system and mission requirements into structured models and maintain end-to-end traceability using DOORS NG, Jira, or similar tools
• Define and manage system and subsystem interfaces to support integration across propulsion, avionics, sensors, hardware, and software domains
• Partner with systems, design, hardware, and test teams to align models with verification planning and design validation efforts
• Support system integration activities by using models to identify dependencies, inform development, and improve test readiness
• Generate documentation and model-based artifacts to support safety, airworthiness, and program reviews using Microsoft Office tools and engineering documentation standards
• Promote MBSE best practices, improve modeling workflows, and help expand adoption of digital engineering tools across teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• 6 years of systems engineering and MBSE experience supporting aerospace systems in new product development
• Hands-on experience with CAMEO Systems Modeler and strong proficiency in SysML
• Experience with requirements management and traceability tools such as DOORS NG and Jira
• Strong background modeling complex system architectures, behaviors, and interfaces
• Working knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle processes, including the V-model and traceability practices
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced engineering environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-881, MIL-STD-882, and system safety processes
• Exposure to airworthiness certification, flight test support, or related aerospace validation activities
