Sr Advanced Systems Engineer

BEPC Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Systems Engineer to support the development and integration of next-generation aircraft systems. This role focuses on Aircraft State and Systems Monitoring applications hosted on an advanced avionics platform.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), embedded systems, and avionics integration, with the ability to think at a systems level beyond just software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate aircraft state and systems monitoring applications
• Perform systems integration and verification for avionics platforms
• Support development of system and software requirements
• Validate and verify system functionality across multiple aircraft subsystems
• Contribute to synoptics and aircraft systems display applications
• Interface with onboard systems including sensors, navigation, and control systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure system performance and reliability

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Master’s preferred)
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Strong background in avionics systems and embedded systems
• Experience in system integration, validation, and verification
• Experience with one or more of the following:
• Systems/software requirements development
• Model-based design (Simulink preferred)
• ARINC 661 graphics development (SCADE preferred)

Technical Experience:

• Aircraft sensors and navigation systems (Air Data Systems, AHRS, GPS)
• Integration with aircraft subsystems such as:
• Flaps
• Landing gear
• Cabin pressure systems
• FADEC

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with Simulink and/or SCADE
• Strong systems-level thinking and architecture understanding
• Prior experience with aircraft system integration (not just general embedded systems)

Contract Details

• Duration: 10-month contract with potential extensions
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
• Work Location: Onsite in Phoenix, AZ
• Employment Type: W2 only (C2C and C2H not considered)
• Pay Rate: $63.57 – $68.02/hr (based on experience)
