Job Title: Aerospace Project Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034 (Onsite)
Employment Type: W2 Contract – 6 Month Contract with possibility for extensions
Pay Rate: $50.00 – $60.00/hour (determined by experience, paid weekly)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Role Overview
BEPC is seeking an experienced Aerospace Project Engineer to support advanced propulsion and engine development programs in Phoenix, AZ. This role combines technical engineering expertise with project leadership responsibilities, supporting the design, development, testing, certification, and integration of aerospace propulsion systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace engineering, engine development, aircraft integration, or propulsion systems, along with experience leading complex engineering projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead aerospace engineering projects from planning through execution and delivery
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical objectives
- Support the design, development, analysis, and integration of aerospace propulsion systems
- Coordinate engineering activities across multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management teams to ensure project success
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to program milestones
- Identify technical and program risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Support aircraft integration, engine testing, and certification activities
- Oversee technical documentation including design specifications, engineering reports, compliance documentation, and design changes
- Utilize project management tools to track cost, schedule, and performance metrics
- Support requirements-based systems engineering activities
- Drive project execution while maintaining compliance with aerospace industry standards and customer requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in:
- Engine design
- Turbofan engine development
- Fan module design
- Engine testing
- Aircraft integration
- Aerospace project engineering
- Strong project management and leadership experience
- Experience with:
- EVMS (Earned Value Management Systems)
- Cost Account Management
- Schedule Management
- Jira and Agile tools
- Requirements-Based Systems Engineering
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively lead project teams
- Experience working with aircraft OEMs and aerospace stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline
- Experience supporting propulsion systems certification and testing
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or related certifications
- Experience leading complex aerospace development programs
- Familiarity with safety-critical aerospace systems and regulatory requirements
