Pay Rate: $63.00 - $66.65 per hour
Role Overview
BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to support monoclonal antibody development within a Pathology Biology and Integrated Analytics research environment. This role focuses on antibody engineering, production, purification, and characterization to support IVD and CDx assay development.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience across the full antibody development lifecycle and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced R&D setting while maintaining the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in antibody development, engineering, expression, purification, and characterization
- Plan and manage smaller-scale research projects with moderate complexity
- Collaborate across R&D teams and functional groups, representing the team when needed
- Analyze, interpret, summarize, and present experimental data independently
- Ensure quality standards and documentation requirements are met
- Apply new scientific developments to diagnostic research initiatives
- Resolve technical challenges using defined strategies and scientific judgment
- Contribute to cross-site collaboration and knowledge sharing
Core Technical Requirements
- End-to-end monoclonal antibody development experience
- Advanced molecular cloning expertise (PCR, restriction/ligation, Gibson assembly)
- Strong antibody sequence analysis skills (VH/VL, CDRs, frameworks)
- Hands-on experience with mammalian expression systems (HEK293, CHO)
- Antibody purification using Protein A/G and FPLC systems
- Experience with analytical methods including ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, HPLC, and IHC
Preferred / Plus Skills
- Laboratory automation and workflow optimization experience
- Knowledge of biophysical characterization techniques (DSC, DLS)
- Structural biology interpretation (PDB files)
- Computational protein engineering or epitope modeling
- Experience with formulation and stability studies
- Domain knowledge in oncology, immunology, or protein chemistry
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred
- 5–10 years of hands-on, relevant experience is most important
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong collaborative work ethic
