BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our client’s site in Hillsboro, OR. This role will support Drug Product manufacturing operations including Component Prep & Compounding, Liquid/Lyophilized Filling, Automated/Manual Inspection, Packaging/Finished Products, and Distribution. The site is experiencing growth with opportunities to optimize existing processes and deliver new capabilities and technologies.
This position assists in planning and executing internal project(s) from initiation through delivery, organizing cross-functional activities, ensuring adherence to budget, scope, and schedule, and serving as an in-house project consultant for evaluating needs and vendor proposals. The role may also involve building tools/products for internal use.
There is a strong focus on the Fill/Finish space (component preparation, formulation, and aseptic operations), supporting reliable supply, improved performance of existing assets, and implementation of new technologies. Support to other areas in project management capacity may be required.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enable delivery of key site portfolio projects and programs. Ensure accurate project scoping and identification of resources, timeline, and budget. Manage projects to maintain scope, timeline, and budget, ensuring realization of project benefits.
- Support balancing priorities and dependencies by assessing project health, identifying needs, and making adjustments to maintain adherence to scope, cost, and schedule.
- Adhere to and support development of best practices and guidance for project management and delivery across diverse business projects (e.g., CAPEX, sustainability, refurbishment, innovation).
- Collaborate effectively with site functional teams and applicable partners across multiple technical and corporate groups to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.
- Act in a lead capacity on cross-functional strategic activities, including leading assessments, meetings, workshops, developing deliverables, providing guidance, and delivering support.
- Use excellent team-building and communication skills, listening and responding with agility and resilience in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or above, preferably in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, Facilities, Mechanical, Process, or Industrial), related Science field, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 5 years of successful experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry, particularly in project/portfolio management and execution, with relevant GMP experience.
- Experience in scoping, planning, and leading cross-functional project teams executing diverse projects with varying complexity (technical and/or business)..
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced/graduate degree or certification in Project Management (e.g., PMI certification).
- Exceptional influencing capabilities, interpersonal and broad communication skills, negotiation, collaboration, and strategic consulting skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of basic principles of several engineering disciplines; understanding of project risks, integration implications, facility end-user operational needs, and advocating for the development and establishment of functional organization.
- Experience in an FDA-regulated industry, hospital, or clean room environment.
