Position Overview
We're a Bentonville family of four looking for a reliable, organized Household Assistant & Cook to help with weekday afternoons and evenings: cooking dinner, errands, and keeping the home in order. We're hoping to find someone for the long term.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30–7:00 pm
Guaranteed Hours: 17.5 per week, paid even when not all hours are used
Compensation: $20–23 per hour, paid on the books (W-2)
Benefits:
- Paid time off, accrued throughout the year (equal to 1 week of vacation, 1 sick day, and 1 personal day annually)
- 3 paid major holidays (New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
- Mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate for job-related driving
Responsibilities:
- Prepare simple, healthy dinners for the family
- Grocery shopping and local household errands
- Tidy the kitchen and common areas, including dishes
- Family laundry
- Keep the home stocked and running smoothly
Qualifications:
- Experience cooking for a family or in a household role
- 3 references
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable personal vehicle
- Background check upon offer
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and 18
