Location: Ennis, TX
Reporting to: Manager of Operations
Essential Functions
The function of the Machine Shop Supervisor is to direct and ensure that all phases of machine shop operations are conducted in an orderly, efficient manner according to established procedures and quality standards.

Essential Functions
The function of the Machine Shop Supervisor is to direct and ensure that all phases of machine shop operations are conducted in an orderly, efficient manner according to established procedures and quality standards.
Role And Responsibilities
Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible to coordinate machine shop work in such a manner as to make efficient use of manpower/equipment and meet customer delivery.
- Authorized in conjunction with the Department Manager, to hire and terminate employees under his authority and to evaluate personnel under his authority for ongoing training and advancement.
- Responsible for work assignments within the machine shop.
- Conduct production meetings at shift change, as necessary, to maintain production flow and establish shift production schedules.
- Requisition for work assignments within the machine shop.
- Oversee production procedures and ensure that results are within specified requirements.
- Responsible for the conduct and promptness of employees under his authority, and to ensure that Benoit policies are adhered to.
- Ensure that equipment maintenance is performed and documented per SOP.
- Perform and/or supervise minor equipment repairs when practical or enlist the help of the Maintenance Department or a vendor service representative to minimize production interruptions.
- Support Machine Operators in trouble shooting nonconformance problems when necessary.
- Monitor the workload of CNC Operators to assure continuous production.
- Enforce Benoit Safety and Environmental policies in their department.
- Investigate and complete accident reports on all accidents in their departments.
- Ensure that machine shop personnel paperwork is properly completed in a timely manner.
- Be available by phone, or other means to assist in machine shop problems.
Qualifications:
- Must be a High School graduate
- Must have the ability and experience to manage and direct employees effectively
- Must pass a Company physical
- Must have the ability and experience to organize and coordinate workflow through the machine shop
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must have a working knowledge of oilfield tubing, accessories, and related items
- Must be familiar with Benoit’s Quality Program Manual, Specifications for products and related items, and Standard Operating Procedures for pertinent machine shop processes.
- Must have a working knowledge of machine shop equipment and machining practices
- Must be capable of passing a standard Color Blindness Test
- Must read and sign-off to required Benoit SOPs
