Benefits Specialist 1
Full-time | $22–$24/hr | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
We are hiring a Benefits Specialist 1 to join our fast-paced, customer-focused team. This role is ideal for someone with recent call center experience, strong customer service skills, and knowledge of healthcare insurance (a strong plus). A California Life and Health Insurance license is required (or must be obtained, we provide licensing support to the right candidate).
What You’ll Do
- Answer inbound calls from individuals inquiring about established healthcare insurance plans.
- Provide accurate, friendly, and efficient assistance.
- Make outbound follow-up calls as needed.
- Document all calls and keep client records current.
- Respond to emails according to company procedures.
- Collaborate with team members in a supportive environment.
What We’re Looking For
- 1 years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) in a high-volume call center.
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance is a strong plus.
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls daily with professionalism and care.
- California Life & Health Insurance license or willingness to obtain with our support.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.
- Spanish bilingual a plus.
