Retail Safety Manager
Awesome opportunity to lead the development and execution of safety programs across all retail and corporate operations. This role is responsible for fostering a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with leadership to reduce risk and protect associates and customers.
The Duties:
Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures across retail locations
Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable safety regulations
Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; track and analyze trends
Partner with store leadership to drive safety initiatives and promote accountability
Lead safety training programs and ongoing associate education
Support safe operation of equipment and high-risk departments (e.g., Meat/Deli, Produce)
Collaborate with Facilities and vendors on equipment, maintenance, and safety standards
Serve as the primary contact for incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
The Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
3–5 years of safety experience, preferably in multi-site retail or grocery environments
OSHA knowledge required; certifications (ASP, CSP, OSHA 30) preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to influence teams and work independently in a fast-paced environment
