JOB SUMMARY: Perform financial activities for the corporate entities, including but not limited to banking transactions, commission processing, and accounting responsibilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounting functions including but not limited to accounts payable and accounts receivable for the corporate entities.
- Lead the commission process by maintaining accounting system to enable staff to prepare monthly commission runs (Sold Group Forms and GEN4.)
- Direct and help staff with the processing of monthly carrier commission statements, including fully insured and ancillary products, and proper payments to brokers.
- Prepare annual 1099 forms for all corporate entities and consortiums.
- Assist Supervisor with initial and ongoing training for the corporate Accounting Specialist(s) and Finance & Administrative Specialist(s).
- Act as the liaison regarding corporate accounting functions for administrative services
- (COBRA, CDH).
- Respond to supervisor when requested with accurate and timely work to facilitate his or her work assignments.
Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to sit or stand and type utilizing computer for up to 75% of the workday.
- May be requested to assist with the lifting of document storage boxes on an occasional basis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or similar field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in Finance or Accounting required.
- General knowledge of accounting principles and practices required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Specific knowledge of NetSuite software preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, and the general public required.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office products required.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written format required.
