Monday thru Friday 8:30-5, Rotating 12:30-9
Rotating Saturday 8:30-5
Rotating Sunday 10-2
LOCATION: Mechanicsburg
JOB SUMMARY: Dispense medications following prescriptions issued by an authorized medical practitioner. Perform or oversee performance of packaging, labeling, measuring, compounding, storing, charging, and recording of medications used in dispensing to members and provide leadership and guidance to supporting staff. Review prescriptions for appropriateness of therapy to determine ingredients needed and to ensure correct dosage. Advise patients and care providers of potential drug interactions, possible side effects, storage information and instructions on how to use medications. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (minimum). Possess current license to practice pharmacy in state of employment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or PharmD (minimum)
Current license to practice pharmacy in state of employment
Required To Obtain Additional State(s) Licensure As Needed
Knowledge of and skilled in use and operation of computers
Compassionate with desire to help patients
Reliable and dedicated
Detail oriented and precise
Ability to multi-task
Ability to tolerate repetitive standing and sitting
Oral communication skills to clearly communicate and deal with a diverse customer group and other health care professionals
Analytical ability to interpret information and recommend solutions
Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
Ability to work in a team environment and work cooperatively with other members of pharmacy staff
Organizational and time management skills
Able to adapt schedule with little, if any notice.
Qualified to participate in federal health care programs, including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid

- Learn the BenecardCF Mailorder system and other computer systems we use
- Process and verify prescriptions accurately
- Check patient profiles for drug interactions and allergies
- Provide attention to customer, ensuring that both medical professionals and patients are responded to with accurate and timely information
- Aid in processing of insurance claims
- Maintain management of inventory
- Compound when appropriate
- Perform clinical evaluations per patient
- Ability to work in teams, providing leadership to enable timely completion of assigned work requirements
- Other duties as assigned
