Workover Rig Operator / Rig Supervisor

Full-Time | $25.00 – $35.00/hour $170/day Per Diem

Position Overview

I&S Inc. of NY is seeking an experienced Workover Rig Operator to lead rig operations and supervise a crew in the field. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient execution of tubing and well service operations while maintaining compliance with all safety standards.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with strong oilfield experience who can confidently run a rig and lead a crew.

Compensation & Schedule

• $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience
• $170/day per diem for out-of-town assignments
• Full-time, steady work
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a workover rig in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards
• Lead and supervise a crew of 3–4 personnel
• Perform tubing operations, including running and pulling tubing
• Operate rig equipment including tongs, elevators, and slips
• Monitor rig performance and adjust operations as needed
• Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance
• Oversee pump and tank operations
• Ensure full compliance with safety policies and procedures
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• 3 years of experience operating a workover rig or similar oilfield rig equipment
• Strong understanding of tubing operations and rig procedures
• Proven ability to lead a crew and manage daily rig operations
• Working knowledge of OSHA and oilfield safety standards
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening

• Experience as a Drilling Rig Operator, Derrickhand, Floorhand (ready to advance), Well Service Operator, or similar role
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent climbing, standing, and working at heights
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physically capable of performing rig floor duties
