Seeking new member for our tree team - sales and service working outside seasonally

We are a growing green business that applies expertise in horticulture, design, and landscape to operate: a beautiful 2-acre nursery, landscape services crew, and landscape consulting and design team. BPN cares for hundreds of different hardy perennial plants for a wide range of landscape goals and conditions. BPN specializes in large evergreen trees - today we also provide broadleaf trees, shrubs, grasses, and perennial flowers. Our nursery offers several services for clients such as: planting of nursery products, pruning, irrigation, delivery and classes.

Being a sales person at Bend Pine Nursery means - Greeting customers and current clients, helping them solve their landscape problems and learn more about how to reach their landscape goals (immediate and/or long term) by guiding them to the best plants/trees and services for their individual needs.

This is a great position for someone that has plant/tree knowledge and loves plants/trees

This is a seasonal position from March to Mid-November. Day to day tasks change seasonally and include: selling, nursery opening/closing, restocking, operating heavy machinery, healing in trees, pruning, cleaning, merchandising, and inventory management. In the fall we focus on preparing for winter and community educational events. In the winter we go dormant - like the plants! In the spring we emerge, we focus on restocking new products (including large trees - using heavy machinery), care for plants, and care for our clients. In the summer we focus on caring for plants, tracking inventory, and caring for clients.

This is a physically active job and we prioritize health and safety. Are you able to lift 30 lbs. without straining? Do you have personal transportation (to and from work) ?

Helpful background skills and experience include -

• 1 years in Team Focused - sales, tourism, teaching, or service industry
• 1 years in the landscaping, agriculture, architecture, or construction industry
• Undergraduate degree in field sciences (biology, ecology, horticulture, etc.)
• Hobby gardening or farming or community gardening
• Familiarity of Bends growing seasons and climate/zone
• Point of sale system management - Square
• Sales, Plant ID, Design and/or Equipment operation
