Role Description
Bence Law Firm is hiring a full-time Associate Attorney to join our growing litigation team. This attorney will manage personal injury cases from intake through pre-litigation, litigation, and trial, working closely with our Managing Attorney and Senior Associate Attorney. Responsibilities include evaluating and accepting new cases, communicating directly with clients, negotiating with insurance adjusters, drafting demand packages, filing suit and handling discovery and depositions when cases don't resolve fairly, and preparing for and trying cases in court. Attorneys at Bence Law Firm are expected to try cases when appropriate to maximize client recovery. This is a hands-on role for an attorney who wants real caseload ownership and courtroom experience at a firm that is scaling quickly.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Alabama (required)
- Licensed to practice law in Georgia strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain Georgia licensure
- Personal injury, litigation, or plaintiff-side experience preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Comfortable with a fast-paced, high-volume caseload and willing to try cases in court
- Client-focused, detail-oriented, and organized under deadline pressure
- Comfortable using legal technology and AI-enabled case management tools
- Disciplined, competitive, and goal-oriented team player
