Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute remodeling projects while upholding our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about preserving the character of historic homes, and dedicated to excellence in their work.

This role involves managing on-site remodeling projects, collaborating closely with our team of carpenters, project managers, and designers, and ensuring outstanding results and client satisfaction on every project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise remodeling projects from start to finish, ensuring top-quality craftsmanship.

• Read and interpret blueprints to execute project plans accurately.

• Utilize both traditional carpentry techniques and modern methods to renovate and preserve the timeless character of historic homes.

• Coordinate with team members and trade partners to ensure smooth project execution and clear on-site communication.

• Manage materials and supplies, maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.

• Mentor junior carpenters and apprentices, sharing expertise and best practices.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of carpentry experience, with a strong emphasis on residential remodeling and historic home restoration.

• Expertise in traditional carpentry techniques, modern building practices, and local building codes.

• Strong ability to read blueprints and manage projects effectively.

• Proficiency in framing, interior trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and all aspects of residential remodeling.

• Commitment to integrity, safety, and delivering excellent client service.

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting, as required by job duties.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects efficiently.
