Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of boba drinks and beverages with precision and care, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Ability to learn how to prepare back of house duties including but not limited to: preparing batches of tea, toppings preparation, kitchen prep.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as ChowBus POS, Hungry Panda, Fantuan, and UberEats to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and provide friendly, attentive service to enhance their café experience.
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and food handling responsibilities with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by properly handling food products, preparing simple food items, and keeping work areas tidy.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service.
• Support the café’s sales goals by promoting menu items and upselling where appropriate.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred.
• Proven customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as ChowBus POS is a plus.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
