We are looking for Front of House Baristas/Cashiers to help us navigate our small business. We are looking for candidates who already have coffee barista experience to make training a breeze.

Full transparency... we are a very busy shop. We hand whisk our matcha, manually dial our espresso shots, manually steam milk, most of our syrups and milks are house made, and we hand froth our cold foams to order. Our specialty drinks are popular and intricate. We need candidates that can work fast paced, efficient, memorize recipes, multitask, willing to accept feedback, pays attention to details, and is a team player.

The number of scheduled shifts depends on your work performance, availability, and reliability.

Shifts range from 4-8 hours per shift.

Training will be 2 weeks.

After 2 weeks, you will take your barista test and once passed then you are eligible to earn tips.

Front of House Employee:

Being a front of house employee falls under many categories. FOH employees are responsible being cashiers, being baristas, some food preparation, and keeping our store clean.

• As cashier, you will be greeting customers with a smile! Customer service is everything to us. We are a fun and energetic cafe and our employees should match the same vibe & energy. As cashier, you will ring up customers' orders, answer questions, making suggestions, be knowledgeable of what we sell, packaging their items, taking both card and cash payments, and handling online orders. We will train you on how to navigate our POS system with ease.
• As barista, you will be working in a fast-paced environment especially on the weekends as that’s when we are the busiest. It’s important to be able to navigate a rush and to be able to work under pressure. We are known for our specialty drinks which take time to make so we cannot afford to work slow. You will be trained on how to grind, tamp, pull espresso shots at certain measurements, and properly steam milk for lattes. You will also be trained on how to use our Ripple machine that prints edible images on top of our drinks which requires perfectly frothing cold foam. You will also be trained on how to properly make our ceremonial matcha. As barista, you are also responsible to make and restock our house made syrups, milks, and any other house made ingredients we use for our drinks.
• Here at Bake Sale, we take pride in having a clean store. We are always sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and overall maintaining our workstations and customer dining area clean. We have daily and weekly cleaning tasks that must be completed during your shift.
