Hiring Range: $81,907 - $101,625.

NATURE OF POSITION
Supervise multiple job classifications in the maintenance of Agency property, amenities and equipment while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local guidelines and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards are being met.
- Plan and coordinate workflow including staffing and scheduling in a union environment.
- Supervise and coordinate daily upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance duties. Collaborate with the Manager of Facilities Maintenance on the development and implementation of a facility’s preventative maintenance plan.
- Schedule major repairs and daily maintenance of buildings and assets; review daily maintenance checklist and work practices; ensure technicians are performing inspections and repairs in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Monitor a preventative maintenance program to improve the safety and reliability of BFT assets and buildings.
- Maintain inventory; review operating records and costs to ensure work orders are charged to appropriate budget accounts.
- Provide technical expertise in every aspect of the repair, modification, and maintenance of buildings and equipment.
- Administer training to staff regarding safety programs; proper usage of Personal Protect Equipment (PPE); proper disposal techniques of hazardous waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Identify and recommend cost reduction solutions to maximize operational efficiency.
- Participate in union contract administration.
- Work with and maintain confidential information.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Theory, operation, and repair of structures, equipment and all other BFT assets.
- WISHA and OSHA Standards.
- Principles of supervision, training, scheduling, and motivation.
- Principles of quality assurance, including preventative maintenance.
- Experience using a major maintenance management information software system.
- Equipment and tools used in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.
- Plan and schedule the work of a maintenance team for optimum production.
- Learn new technologies, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by professional organizations and/or governing agencies.
- Utilize office equipment and other relevant technology to meet business needs.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Work as a team member and independently; effectively apply organizational and time management skills; meet deadlines and comply with Agency policies.
- Focus on tasks and recall details; handle frequent interruptions.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and completion of a technical certification program and four-years of progressively responsible relevant experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and education. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must obtain and maintain the following licenses and certifications for continued employment at BFT:
- First Aid and CPR certification; or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Journeyman level trade apprenticeship or related field or four-years of progressively responsible relevant experience.
